Limerick Institute of Technology Autumn Open Days 2019 will take place at the Moylish and Clare Street campuses in Limerick on Thursday 17th October and  Friday 18th October from 9:30am to 2pm

The academic teams of the Creative Broadcast & Film Production and Music Technology & Production, will be at both sites, to demonstrate and chat about the programmes, the industry and the opportunities that are available for new entrants in Sept 2020.

If you cant make it then there will be other opportunities to visit the Moylish campus and experience different events that are put on by the staff and students of the programmes, including; The Richard Harris International Film Festival Awards Show, (Oct 27th Millennium Theatre) and the end of year Student Showcase (April 2020 TBC).

On behalf of the students and academic staff of the Creative Broadcast & Film Production programme, LSAD,  I would like to formally invite you to attend the – Showcase19 –  screening on Thursday, April 11th in the Millennium Theatre.
The showcase is a visual celebration of short film screenings as well as film & music exhibitions. Films range from fiction, documentary, and animation presented by the students of Creative Broadcast & Film Production. The event offers an exciting opportunity to view the latest work of emerging film makers working in Limerick today.
Reception opens at 17:00, screenings & awards from 18:00.

Colin Craker (3rd year Creative Broadcast and Film Production Student) receiving the #richardharrisinternationalfilmfestival award for film excellence.

Big congratulations to 3rd Year Creative Broadcast and Film Production student, Colin Craker, for winning the inaugural ‘Richard Harris International Film Festival Award for Film Excellence’, at the Frame By Frame Student Showcase on April 12th.

His short animation, titled ‘Cobblestones‘, had the audience spellbound with  ‘Bladerunner’ visual influences and all produced using Adobe Photoshop and After Effects, which impressed the RHIFF team of Zeb and Sylvia Moore.

The Frame By Frame Student Showcase, was created and run by the Students and Staff of the Creative Broadcast and Film Production Programme at Limerick Institute of Technology and will return again in 2019 where new talent and display their work to their peers and industry professionals.

It is expected that Colin’s film along with the other productions will be entered into the Richard Harris Film Festival and will screen in October this year.
