This weekend at IBC in Amsterdam have announced their latest update to their Sony Vegas Editing Software. Vegas is fast becoming the choice of NLE for editors with its striking features and interface as well as the option for 3D compiling and seemless HD editing.

The Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at LIT offers a diverse range of programmes; if you’re looking for a career in renewable energy, music technology, audio and video production, automation or electronic engineering.

With up-to-date laboratories, editing suites and recording studios, students will get to work on today’s best industry standard equipment. Our hands-on, practical approach to learning means you will have the knowledge but also the skills to tackle even the most difficult jobs.

The staff are constantly finding new opportunities to get their students involved in real-world work. Students from the Video & Sound Technology programme were given the chance to get first-hand experience of filming and recording for the revival of Munster Rugby’s “Munster TV”. Students attended practice sessions and press conferences leading up to the Heineken Cup and edited their videos in the new LIT editing suites to provide high-quality videos for the team’s website. Here is the july episode of Limerick Insider.

July was another busy month in Limerick with fantastic events like the Pig n Porter Tag Rugby Festival, the Athea Road Races, the Beast of Ballyhoura and the Irish Festival of Speed taking place. There was cause for great celebration in Limerick with the Milk Market winning the prestigious ‘Public Choice Award’ at the RIAI Irish Architecture Awards 2011.

Filmed very recently, was the promotional video for Flexyfoot. The Flexyfoot ferrule was invented by product designer David Goodwin. David’s design team has over 25 years experience in creating innovative, stylish and commercially successful products and have won numerous international awards for their design achievements.

In the video Simon Baker and Jason Kenny tell of the products advantages to Simon and all about the upcoming challenge Simon will take of walking from Dublin to Limerick (22nd to 27th August) using the crutches and the Flexyfoot.

 

Released today, is the 2 DVD Disc set called ‘Munster, Magners League Champions. This contains the Magners League final match in full, Road to the Grand Final Documentary, INterviews with the players and coaches as well as the Australia game in full and player interviews.

We had shot the interviews with the players and coaches on location in UL arena earlier this summer. Check it out.

Scumbag Millionaire has made the initial cut for the Institute of Videography Awards 2011 (IOV).

This cermony will take place at the ProVideo conference in October of this year.
