A trip down memory lane.

From 2009 to 2011, Apple bites, and then Limerick Insider, was created by Applebox Media to cover stories from around Limerick City and County featuring live events, characters and positive stories.

Series three of Limerick Insider has begun on Limerick.ie.
This month we a have a special programme about the Great Southern Trail in County Limerick.

Located between the towns of Rathkeale, Newcastle West and Abbyfeale this beautiful greenway is full of history, scenery and interesting sites for all the family.

We also bring you coverage of the One Step at a Time Challenge where below the knee amputee, Simon Baker, successfully walked from Dublin to Limerick on crutches on one leg!
After 5.5 days, Simon and his One Step at a Time team arrived in Limerick City on the 27th of August 2011 after walking a total of 233 km in aid of the ISPCC/CHILDLINE.

July was another busy month in Limerick with fantastic events like the Pig n Porter Tag Rugby Festival, the Athea Road Races, the Beast of Ballyhoura and the Irish Festival of Speed taking place. There was cause for great celebration in Limerick with the Milk Market winning the prestigious ‘Public Choice Award’ at the RIAI Irish Architecture Awards 2011.
