Filmed very recently, was the promotional video for Flexyfoot. The Flexyfoot ferrule was invented by product designer David Goodwin. David’s design team has over 25 years experience in creating innovative, stylish and commercially successful products and have won numerous international awards for their design achievements.

In the video Simon Baker and Jason Kenny tell of the products advantages to Simon and all about the upcoming challenge Simon will take of walking from Dublin to Limerick (22nd to 27th August) using the crutches and the Flexyfoot.

Film Entry Viewing at the Millennium Theatre, LIT

And on the success of last years event, the Awards Night for the Film Competition itself followed by an after show party to round off the night and to end the Festival.

Due to the competition being open to the General public this year as well as college students the interest in entering has been strong with entries from Limerick, Cork, Carlow and Dundalk to name but a few.

Filming continued today on the short film ‘Scumbag Millionaire’. Actors Francis Ryan (Danny), Jason Kenny (Tommy), Darren Maher (Mick) and John Caplis (Bob) were on location for a difficult early morning start. As you can see in the pictures several locations in the Pery Square area of Limerick were used. Due to the snowy weather the night before extra care was needed to ensure that both the chase scene and fight scene went ahead without injury to any cast and crew. Well done to all involved and thanks for putting up with the cold, early morning start.

Also a special thanks to Jason and Francis for hauling the boxes, mats and tyres for the fight stunt.

Hello all,

Well 2010 has drawn to a close and we are busy in preparing the 2nd Annual LIT Film Festival for you. Similar to last year we will be having the awards night which will be streamed live on a dedicated website. We are also in the middle of organizing the exhibition. As part of the 1st festival back in April we had a workshop on the Sony NXCAM format and camera. For 2011, we are preparing some great workshops for everyone but we would like your opinions too.

If there is a topic or subject you would like to see discussed by an industry expert then let us know on the email address below.

We will use the feedback to book workshops according to demand.

More on this soon.
Simon.
