Flexyfoot Promotional Video

Filmed very recently, was the promotional video for Flexyfoot. The Flexyfoot ferrule was invented by product designer David Goodwin. David’s design team has over 25 years experience in creating innovative, stylish and commercially successful products and have won numerous international awards for their design achievements.

In the video Simon Baker and Jason Kenny tell of the products advantages to Simon and all about the upcoming challenge Simon will take of walking from Dublin to Limerick (22nd to 27th August) using the crutches and the Flexyfoot.

Munster Magners League Champions DVD

Released today, is the 2 DVD Disc set called ‘Munster, Magners League Champions. This contains the Magners League final match in full, Road to the Grand Final Documentary, INterviews with the players and coaches as well as the Australia game in full and player interviews.

We had shot the interviews with the players and coaches on location in UL arena earlier this summer. Check it out.

Scumbag Millionaire has made the initial cut for the Institute of Videography Awards 2011 (IOV).

This cermony will take place at the ProVideo conference in October of this year.

Scumbag Millionaire didn’t come away with any awards from the Dare Media Underground Short Film Festival on Saturday night, however we did get short listed into the final three for the Best Director award which is some feat considering there was a large number of films entered. Every film maker loves to get an award but there is also a sense of achievement to be short listed for any category. That you made an impression in some way.

Scumbag millionaire has been a labour of love like most short films but it was the great cast and crew that brought the idea to life.

LIT Film Festival ends with a great awards night.

Friday night saw the 2nd Annual LIT Film Festival come to a close with the Film Festival awards show.
Over 150 people attended to see 12 awards given out to film makers from across the country.
Here are the winning films:

Best Camera – Forgiven
Best Lighting – Dear Air
Best Sound – Walsh
Best Editor – Alfred
Best Acting – Freebound
Best Script – He Waits
Best Director – Police Cops
Best Factual – Leslie Carter, Irish Muslim
Best Artistic – once upon a time in Siberia
Best Drama – Starstruck
Adjudicators Award – Tost Dorcha An Gheimhridh
Best Overall Film – In the Open

LIT FILM FESTIVAL IS UNDERWAY

Monday 11th – Belltable Arts Centre
Today saw the launch of events of the LIT Film Festival 2011 at the Belltable Arts Centre on O’Connell Street.
The Limerick Film Forum took place with a script reading of Dermott Petty’s (Dir) film, ‘Time Travel and the Leaving Cert’. With multiple cast members present, the audience were given an insight to how a script is rehearsed by a director and his cast. Dermott answered questions afterwards and stated that he hoped to get funding for the project and start production some time later this year.

Make sure you get to the Exhibition Day (Tuesday). Promises to be a great opportunity for budding film and video makers alike with workshops from Rory Gavin of Reelgood Facilities, Dublin and a Sony Workshop on HDV and XDCAM EX Cameras with also some brand new cameras direct from Sony HQ in London.
