Members of the Irish Screen Editors Guild (I.S.E.) are joining editors around the world in celebrating World Screen Editors Day today. This is a new annual celebration that recognises the craft and contribution of film and television editors around the world. TEMPO, a federation that connects associations of film editors from all over the world, is beginning this new celebration in 2026, and it will recur every year on October 26.
WORLD SCREEN EDITORS DAY will bring together editors and editor associations internationally to celebrate the craft of editing, foster connections within the editing community, and highlight the often unseen work that shapes the stories audiences see on screen.
Watch out for the hashtags today from @tempo_filmeditors and @irishscreenedit on your social media for images and stories from editors who are passionate about their craft.
