Was delighted to receive more international entries for this years short film competition for the LIT Film Festival in April. This time around they came from Madrid, Spain.

The focus on this years festival is all about inclusion and our neighbouring counties in the EU are more than welcome to submit their work to our competition.

Should they decide to make the journey we will have a big welcome for them here in Limerick in April. Its all part of ‘The Gathering Ireland 2013’.

Hi All

Its just two weeks to go to get your entries in for the short film competition. Sponsored by Canon, Whelan Cameras, Peli Ireland, this year is proving to be just as popular with entries reaching us from all over the country as well as from abroad. (see previous post)

March 8th is the deadline to get those films into via post. We cannot accept any entries after that date so there is no time to delay.

Previous entrants and winners have already got their films into us and there are some great stories, direction, cinematography and editing standing out.

Please feel free to download an entry form HERE and send your work into us.

Looking forward to seeing you at the festival.

We are delighted to welcome the short film entries entries by Pierre Gaffie from France. Pierre marks the first of the foreign entries to arrive at our desks here at Festival HQ.

With the partnership with ‘The Gathering Ireland 2013‘ the LIT Film Festival is hoping to encourage as many foreign film makers to submit their short films into our festival. There is no entry fee except the postage to get your films over to Ireland.

In previous years we have had films entered from, Northern Ireland, England and as far as Israel. The standard of these films from students and professionals alike have been inspiring to the audiences of our screenings during the festival.

If you are outside of Ireland but are looking to get your film noticed abroad then why not send us your short films (no more than 20mins) to the LIT Film Festival. (See here for entry forms)

Looking forward to showcasing the best in Irish and International film making talent.
