Avenue Productions are delighted to announce that the award winning ‘Warts & All’ short film, directed by Pat Shortt, will screen on Monday 15th December on RTÉ 2 at 11:30pm as part of the Shortscreen programme.
After a hugely successful festival, there is anticipated excitement in looking forward to the screening to a national audience.

The success of the short film, Warts and All’, continued on Sunday night last, with it picking up the award for Best MidWest Short Film at the Richard Harris International Film Festival. There was stiff competition in this category, namely Wednesday Child, directed by Laura O’Shea, which had three nominations in total.
Warts and all editor, Simon McGuire, was present to accept the award on behalf of director Pat Shortt, writer Michelle Lehane and producer Lee Crowley. This award comes on the back of picking up the Best International Narrative Short Film Award at the Newport Beach Film Festival in California the previous week. The film will be continuing to screen at various festivals around the country and abroad, so keep an eye out for it in coming schedules.
On the back of successful screenings at the Newport Beach and Kerry Film Festivals, news filtered through from Newport Beach that Warts and All received the award for Best International Narrative Short Film.
Producer Lee Crowley has led in the thanks via the films Twitter page, “We are absolutely delighted to win Best Short Narrative International Short. Thanks to the jury and all the team @nbff for this wonderful award!”

Exciting times ahead for the cast and crew of Warts and All, with the announcement of selection to the Newport Beach Film Festival.
The short film, directed by Pat Shortt, will get its screening on October 16th at the California festival which draws a number of famous faces as well as established and iconic film makers each year.

With Post Production completed by Simon at ‘Craft- Post House‘, it has been announced that the Directorial Debut for Pat Shortt on the Avenue Productions Short Film, ‘Warts and All’ will premiere at this years Galway Film Fleadh, on Wednesday 6th July at the Town Hall Theatre.

Aron, a single thirty-something, attempts to navigate falling in love, while trying to hide his insecurities. He wrestles with his longing to fit in and being true to himself, unsure whether the real him is too much for anyone to love.

Had the pleasure recently of cutting the teaser trailer for the Avenue Productions‘ short film, Give Him Time, starring Faye Shortt and Pat Shortt.
The short screened at the 2022 Fastnet Film Festival. as part of programme 8, details a story about a father and daughter’s struggle to communicate after a local scandal, until a timely reminder gets them back on track.

Avenue Productions is an award-winning Irish based film and television production company that collaborates with award-winning writers, directors, and leading international producers. It was established to develop and produce short, feature-length, and television drama with an Irish and International focus.

Released on October 30th, will be the brand new online programme, Pat Shortt’s Comedy Heads.
Produced by Short Comedy Theatre Company and Funded by Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Pat Shortt has collaborated with Joe Rooney and The Dublin Comedy Improv Club to create an evening of comedy sketches and general madness.
Filming took place in the Moat Theatre, Naas as well as Limerick School of Art & Design, TUS, Limerick with Simon managing both the camera and editing departments.
