The Limerick Film Bursary Scheme has returned for 2019. This is a fantastic opportunity for filmmakers from all backgrounds in Limerick to get their short film script made with the backing of the Limerick Arts office. See below their press release:

Limerick City and County Council are pleased to announce an open call for applications to Limerick Film Bursaries scheme 2019. In light of the development of Troy Studios, Limerick Film Bursaries aim to support professional Limerick-based filmmakers, established and emerging in all genres, to foster and support the development of original film production. Limerick Short Film Bursaries support the delivery of Limerick Cultural Strategy: A Framework 2016 – 2030, Creative Ireland Limerick Culture and Creativity Strategy 2017 – 2022, and The Arts Council Making Great Art Work: Strategy 2016 – 2025. We are inviting Limerick-based filmmakers to submit applications for the following bursaries:

Limerick Short Film Bursary – €8,000 (2 Awards Available)
This is a two stage competitive process:

Stage 1: Shortlisting from Applications received
Submission to stage 1 is through an online system only and can be made here.

Stage 2: Interview of shortlisted applicants in Limerick, to select successful proposals
