This Monday’s Shortscreen is THE SUFFERING KIND, directed by Kevin Liddy (Country; Horse..) and shot by Declan Quinn (Leaving Las Vegas; In America; Breakfast on Pluto..).
It’s the story of a recently sober sanitation worker in upstate New York, getting through the days as best he can. He whiles away the hours, his woman gone though still around, his road getting narrower, his nights longer. Father Jim is an inner city priest keeping an eye on Micheal’s sobriety. The past is like a sad lullaby that haunts him so close it’s all he can hear. Then reality comes knocking.

It was a great honour to have been the editor on this project and to have had the opportunity to work closely with Kevin and others including Music Composer, Rori Coleman.

The screening is Monday 15th, RTE 2 at 11:40pm and it will then be on the RTE player. Please pass on the link when it becomes available.
